Just a Week Ago

Seven days ago our team sat in church, in a country known to us only by a location on a map.

We worshiped with our Jesus family in a language not our own.

We met people who love the same Savior.

Today we sat in our own churches. Yet our perspective has changed. Our vision and love for the church and for God's people has grown and changed. We see just a little differently.

Our eyes have witnessed that the church is more than a fancy building or a small room where people gather - it is the people who identify Jesus as Savior and seek to follow Him.
Just a week ago, we entered these buildings with a little trepidation at what we would find and what we would experience.
Today, we would willingly enter those places again to stand alongside our family in Paraguay and soak in the Savior.

And perhaps a part of our hearts longed to be back in one of these churches.
To be reminded again of how great our God is.
That He has called us and those from all corners of the earth to be a part of His family.
And that we have a responsibility to be faithful stewards in sharing and living the beauty of the Gospel to all of those we meet.
Those here in our own homes, backyards, and daily lives, and those in the far-flung reaches of this planet.
